In July 2020 the Beagle Association of Gauteng and it's members had to sadly say our goodbyes to a legend, a lady who had loads of passion and knowledge, a lady that spent 30 odd years of her life dedicated to the Beagle breed.
Ms Shuna de Villiers, known in and around the show ring for her Pinoak Beagles, and former chairman of the Beagle Association, sadly passed away in July 2020. She will be remembered for her passion and dedication, wit and knowledge. Shuna will be sorely missed, not only by the Beagle people, but all around the dog world.

In June 2023, The Beagle community in South Africa and across the world,has lost another legend.
It is with sadness that we learn of the passing of Mrs Sylvia Tutchener, after a short illness. Sylvia, an honory life member of the Beagle Association of Gauteng, a graceful lady with a vast knowledge and kindness for days, will be missed by all who knew her.
Sylvia Tutchener was the first judge to judge a Beagle Speciality in South Africa.
